The Sarong Party Girl Controversy
This entry is not-safe-for-work, so make sure your boss, workmates, husband, wife, sisters, brothers, children and doggies are not around you before you continue reading.
Local newspapers. Its no secret I don't like them. I've said a long time ago that the day newspapers here stop publishing photos of politicians hitting gongs at some stupid show-off VIP event is the day I'll celebrate by shaving the hair off my legs and cook soup with it.
Yesterday The Star reported how an erotic blogger known as Sarong Party Girl flashed her titties on her blog.

Sarong Party Girl is a 19-year-old fetish model who writes quite impressively considering her age.
Now I've read Sarong Party Girl's blog a long time ago, and I'll readily admit that I'm not a fan of hers. Its very difficult for me to like her considering often she praises how good Caucasian men are in bed compared to Chinese guys. Its very depressing. And as a Chinese guy myself, she made me feel... inadequate.
But yet, as much as I disagree with her ideologies, I feel compelled to defend her in this situation. Mostly because the mainstream media, against her wishes, essentially made a mountain out of a molehill and in the process humiliate her publicly.
Think about what you'd feel like if you're in her situation. You talk about blogs not respecting defamation laws. How about the mainstream media for Christ's sakes?

She's been baring her body since long long time ago. Its on her masthead. How come no news reports then?
Yes, she showed her neng-neng on her blog. Big frickin' deal. Porn stars have been putting naked pictures of themselves on their websites since The Big Bang. Some people even put nude pictures of other people on their blog. Isn't that worse? Why report it now?
You said they are porn stars, so its different. But hey, she's a fetish model. Posing nude is as common as changing underwear for her. Why draw the line?
"What she has done reflects badly on her parents." said (NTU staff member) Ng Heng Ghee. Its like going on newspaper and said "Eh your father never teach you one ar?" Typical attitude! How other people teach their daughter you also want to kacau. If you're so concerned why don't you adopt her instead?
They even interviewed lawyer Jonathan Kok on obscenity laws. Jonathan Kok don't talk Kok lah. What obscenity laws?

Here's the original picture that made the headlines. What is so obscene about it anyway?
I like it how he said "on the internet it's a grey area" in reference to that black and white picture. Watch the pun. Heh, lawyers are funny.
Look we're not talking about a 60-year-old ah pek flashing his wrinkly virtual kuku-chiaw on his blog here ok. We're talking about a sweet 19-year-old girl baring her equally sweet pair of papayas on her blog.
Gee thanks for treating a woman's naked body like tits its the most disgusting thing on Earth. Pretend feminism never happened. Obscenity laws my arse.

Obscenity laws? I'll teach you obscenity laws!
Stupid newspapers.
Flash your titties on your blog big deal ah? Come interview me lah!
