Tiffany, yeah of course I did. We all make mistakes on the road. There were no oncoming traffic, there were no pedestrians on the highway, and that is why I felt extremely lucky no one was hurt. :)

I had almost the exact fate, but it was at the 3rd mile roundabout when the road was slippery in the sharp turn and I veered off course, too a 180 degrees turn and knocked on a lamp post which was on the left side of the road but somehow hit me on the car's driver side on the right and turned sideways,of course I blogged about it, with photos to show.

I even had the time to think whether they have spare parts for a retro beetle volkswagen while turning sideways.

yeah, sometimes we are alive just becoz of luck. and most of the time people are alive just becoz its illegal to kill them.

Since a lot of ppl asked why I'm still smiling after crashing my car, I guess there are two reasons.

(1) I smile in the face of my own tragedy. Who's gonna keep a positive attitude if you can't?
(2) I get into car accidents so damn frequently that I boh rasa already...

I'm sure at some point during the accident, you weren't smiling. Scared sh*t would have been the right feeling for it!
I had a similar accident, but my truck hit a guardrail and was even more damaged than yours. I had to pay big time, plus pay for the guardrail.And during the accident and even hours after that, I was quite shaken. Had to go to emergency room just to be sure. I hope you did too.
One question: someone was right there taking pictures of you, the car, the accident. How did that happen?

Wow, I don't know whether you are lucky or unlucky. Unlucky for getting into an accident, and lucky for surviving it. Frankly, I'm really shocked. You really could've died there and then. I hope you'll be extra careful while driving from now on.

I had same experience as you did!!
But the car was not mine and the driver was my friend too.
He drove too fast at the corner and lost the control, the car skided and spinned for 3 rounds, crash into a lamp post and spinned for another 2 rounds and the rear side of the car crash into the hill. WOw!! GREAT ExPERIENCE!
Funny thing was we are still laughing after gettin down from the car ..My friend's car was totally busted we were fined!
Btw, he was driving the toyota camry..

You should have said, and realised that "In a situation like this, I could have killed an innocent, law-and-speed-limit-abiding father of three, or knocked out the promising future of a young person on impact."

I hope the other readers can see through all the tasteless humour and drama and realise that when a car crash happens in the circumstances above, the main concern is not the survival of the party at fault, but the possibility of another party simply being at the wrong place, at the wrong time.

4k repairs. I am not suprised. From the photos provided, i am very very sure they are hidden damages under it. Undercarriage parts, ur radiator, aircond condenser, bumper, headlamps, bumper retainers etc etc.

Noticed your next blog entitled "Depression".

Really, don't be. Assuming that the accident blog triggered it, let me say that some people are just jealous that you can still smile and laugh after the accident. Some of the commentors are just simply narrow minded that one cannot smile and be serious at the same time in situations. It's a good thing that you are not hurt and not dead, you didn't kill and hurt anybody during the accident. Even though it is a very expensive lesson to learn from, at least you can still live to amend that mistake. I see it as something worth smiling about.

Really, don't be.

hey dont be depressed. i think it's none of other ppl's business what you decide to feel after a car crash whereby NOTHING happened but some minor car damages. and im pretty sure your moral of the story was meant as a joke anyway. stay strong kenny. :)

Can you highlight which part of my comment that I encourage reckless driving and ramming (Oh by the way, it's rammed; not ramp)to an innocent person? The fact he survived and he didn't hurt anyone is something really worth smiling about. I acknowledge that the accident is a serious situation, but it is still worth smiling to know you are well and alive. I don't see any fault in that. I don't believe that people should not be allowed to smile at serious situations; why should he be criticized for looking happy?

Then again, I'm glad you pointed out that I didn't clarify to say that it is only valid for certain situations. I certainly wouldn't laugh and smile if I killed someone in a motor vehicle accident; I would be full of remorse and guilt. That's why I drive with care (for 7 to 8 years now) with only one major accident that fortunately caused no injuries and casualties. Even though it caused me a lot of money to learn that lesson, I'm glad no one is hurt or dead. I didn't smile back then, I was frightened; but now I think about it, it is worth smiling now to know that that person and I weren't hurt at the accident. Unlike two people I know, they lost their lives in a car accident and everyone cried.

So, you have my thanks for pointing out the lack of clarity in my comment.

If you don't drive carefully... buy more insurance ... huhuhuhu.... :-p
