Microsoft Windows NZ
The thing that never ceases to amaze me about countryside New Zealand is their endless landscape of lush rolling green hills.

You know what they remind me of?

READ THIS KENNY, DON'T YOU SOUND SMART ON YOUR WEB BLOG YOU ARE ALWAYS INFERIOR TO US MALAY. GET IT!!!
Chinese M’sians must accept their lot
FN
Sep 26, 06 6:11pm
Lee Kuan Yew's recent controversial remark has stirred a new round of sabre rattling between Malaysian and Singapore politicians. Does Lee understand Malaysia's situation well enough to make such a remark? Even if he does, what right does he have to criticise Malaysia? Aren't Malay Singaporeans marginalised too?
Malaysia's success in the international arena in both business and technology has no doubt become a threat to Singapore. By making such controversial remarks, is Lee hoping more Chinese Malaysians would hate their country and join Singapore? Don't forget that Singapore is facing problems with the lack of population growth.
Are Chinese being marginalised in Malaysia? This is not a new issue. No one in Malaysia has ever brought up the issue so prominently because it is a sensitive issue in this country. The Malays have been given bumiputera status in Malaysia, meaning that the ‘sons of soil’ should be given priority in terms of political and financial interests. Not to forget, Chinese are only immigrants.
With the help of the New Economy Policy in the past 35 years, I would say the Malays have slowly gained back something that has long belonged to them. What's wrong with this? I feel that the government should further restrict the economic interests of the Chinese because there are just not enough wealthy Malays in the country to bring about a balance in wealth distribution.
I am surprised that some Chinese Malaysians have publicly supported Lee's remarks despite that the MCA leader has rejected them. We can see that the MCA leader is not capable of “stopping” his own people.
If he cannot do that, he has no prospect of representing the Chinese. If the Chinese are able to have big houses and multiple cars, which most of the Malays do not have, why are they still not satisfied? What more do they want?
Recently, the MCA vice-president, who is also the higher education deputy minister, publicly pointed out possible corruption in the repair work of a Chinese school, which was handled by the Works Ministry. I hereby demand that this minister be sacked immediately.
First, no one should question the integrity of other cabinet ministers publicly. Second, by saying such things, the MCA minister did not care about the feelings of other ministers in the Education Ministry, who have approved the funding of the project.
No one should question how the project was awarded and how the funds were used as all these had already been endorsed by the ministers. The MCA minister has brought great damage to the current system by asking for transparency. The contractors who had been awarded government projects will not forgive this minister if they are being scrutinised stricter in future projects, especially when this result in them not being able to make profit out of the projects.
The MCA minister should mind his own business. Minding someone else's business means ‘eating’ in other people's territory. If this minister is not sacked, the works minister should write to the prime minister for his intervention. If not, this will set a detrimental precedent which forces a lot of Malays out of businesses as "we rather be mocked by others than have our stomach empty", to quote Umno Youth deputy chief Khairy Jamaluddin.
In short, Malaysia is a multi-racial society and only with the continuous strengthening of the Malay political and financial interests that it can be harmonious and prosperous country. Whether the Chinese are being marginalised or not is not important. The Chinese just have to accept the fact that living in Malaysia means they have to be subordinate to the ‘sons of the soil’.

I would just liked to add that wealthy chinese ppl are making the extra pot of gold due to their effort and their hard work. Besides, not all chinese are wealthy, there are a significant amount of chinese who live in the middle or low income segment. Our former PM had once relate about the Malaysian dilemma back in the 60s; Martin Luther King had once addressed bout The American dream; I do have this dream that one day, we could live in a nation where we would not be judge by the color of our skin but what is in us.
With that said, to really promote Malaysia as a multi-cultural heritage living in harmony; as we step towards the theme 'Visit Malaysia 2007'; all Malaysian should be united as one body to improve tourism and the economy hand in hand with harmony.
Peace :)

It's funny how much we have been portraying to the world that we are one "united" nation of different races, and yet we get lots of sh*t from people like MFTM up there who are not satisfied with their lives, and blames others for it. Hey, fyi, being protected is good, but being overprotected is not good, you guys are not even given a chance for a healthy round of "fight-for-all", and will forever be stuck in the realm of "we deserve what we get", and if that's so, the 100millionth m'sia economic plan wouldn't even help, if m'sia can last that long~
BTW, are we even allowed to post these stuff up? ISA not coming against us ka or something?!

To MFTM.
You're the quintessential Bumis who is 1)ignorant 2) stupid. The sad thing about people like you is, you view this whole economic pie as a zero sum game.
So if you are really that good, why do you still need to have the NEP? Granted, it is NECESSARY to maintain social stability back then when people used to resolve to violence to address their jealousy. But right here, right now, for those non-bumis who are born and bred here, aren't we son of the soils too?
Well anyway, a wise sage once said not to argue with idiots, just let them be. So, idiot, I pity you. I really do.
www.aisehman.org. Go there and you'll see even though you are bumis, there are still a lot of inequality. The problem is not the race, but the policymakers.
Singapore feel threated by Malaysia? Purleassee! Malaysia is not even in the same competitive platform as Singapore. Productivity, the abiilty to Innovate, economic Competitiveness, BAH! You're wasting my time to even reply to you.
Anyway, Kenny nice blog.

YOU SAID ITS A SENSITIVE ISSUE WHY YOU BROUGHT UP THE MATTER IN THE FIRST PLACE? 'SON OF SOIL' MY ASS SHOULD BE SON OF THE BITCH. BESIDE SPOON FEED WHAT ELSE CAN U DO, WAITING PLP TO GIVE YOU MONEY AND POWER. WHATS WRONG WITH IMMIGRANTS, WE EARN OUR WEALTH BY HARD WORKING NOT LIKE YOU LAZY PIG. IF NO CHINESE YOU THINK U STILL CAN LIVE LIKE YOU HAVE TODAY.MOST PROBALY YOU WILL LIKE VIETNAM.

WHATS WRONGS? IF YOU EARN IT ON A PROPER MANNER NEVER MIND BUT WITH BIAS, RACISM, CORRUPTION THEN ITS DAME WRONG.YOU THINK YOU CAN RESTRICT CHINESE ECONOMY, HEY NOT IN A MILLION YEARS. WITHOUT CHINESE YOU THINK YOU SOB CAN BECOME WEALTHY HA HA HA....
I am surprised that some Chinese Malaysians have publicly supported Lee's remarks despite that the MCA leader has rejected them. We can see that the MCA leader is not capable of “stopping” his own people.

Posted by: HORNY ANG MOH at 27 September 2006 3:27 PM | Link to comment
Di Singapura, kami tidak mendewakan pemain-pemain bola.'' Begitulah
kata-kata Phillip Yeo, Ketua Agensi Penyelidikan Untuk Sains dan
Teknologi Singapura.
Kalau beginilah cara orang Melayu menguruskan anak bangsa mereka nampaknya
Pernahkah kita mendengar jualan album artis-artis Melayu dijual jutaan
mengambil berat tentang arah tuju orang Melayu. Ia mungkin bagai cili
pahit itulah ubat.
Malangnya orang Melayu suka digula-gulakan, dipuji berlebih-lebihan. Biar
menang sorak kampung tergadai. Biar papa asalkan bergaya.
Sebab itulah seperti kata Tuan Guru Nik Aziz, kita tak sepatutnya
Islam.
Bangkit Islam Bangkit Bangkit Islam Bangkit Bangkit Islam Bangkit bangkit hantu Bangkit…hehe

lol.. i am glad that' malaysia for the malay' wrote such a childish comment in here. lol. He has proved to us y even after so many years, there r still not enuff ''wealthy Malays'' in our country(o so u said, err.. did u do a survey on it b4 hand, do u know tat i can sue u on putting such a sensitive comment in public, o well, guess u r just too ignorant to know malaysian law, n u called urself patriotic? ahha. damn funny)1st of all, would any of us like to negotiate with a person who only know how to complain instead of being grateful? it's very entertaining indeed to read n understand ur err... ''kid adult'' behaviour(haha, siapa makan cili, dia terasa, if u're not a kid adult, u may ignore this new nickname of urs). btw, do u know y chinese r always better than u all no matter how hard u sabotaged them? tat's bcox chinese alwix fear not toward challenges n they will alwix look for a better opponents . they nvr ever ask others to slow down their pace just bcox they cant follow up .anyway, i am glad tat u guys enjoy those specialty tat u hv,bcox all these will make u all lazier.. n make the other races strive harder n achieve better .. well, u may ignore this n continue ur behaviour, cox it will only benefits the other races.thx to u .
well, if u insist tat malaysia belong solely to ur race, it's ok. but i must warn u b4hand, tat with o without the specialty, the other races still survive well, thus, if worst come to worse , they might leave this country n the loss will be on ur err..''malay unggul'' race..ahha..cox u guys r still not productive enuff to err... ensure the survival of our country? this is followed with the report( o so i heard ) tat says tat majority of the tax payment r contributed by non-malays even though malays r the majority race in this country..
races shouldn't be an issue afterall, n yet ur comment has just shown us how u had ruined the entire image of ur race..lol. congrats for doing such a damage to ur own race:)
o well, think by replying ur comment , i had make myself seems childish as well, afterall, y should i reply/ answer those kids talk? ehhe, though i still hv hope on making u a more mature person... o well, it depend on u urself whether u wan ur race to survive against the other races o lean back n be a miserable n grumpy race .. all the best for ur life!! ( though i must say it wont progress much if u still keep tat attitude of urs.lol)

I'm actually a chinese trying to show how the malays take the relationship between the races. Reflecting to the everyday news we see, rasism and prejudice seems to be ruling the world and jutice seems to be getting weaker everyday. Why is this happening? Because no one dares to make a stand. No one dares to challenge prejudice and the unfairness. We need more Wong Shi Jie in our country, more men who don't only become the lion in the kopitiams and kodomo lion infront of the officials.
We need men who are brave enough to stand for justice! Pick up yer arrogant arses and stand up to fight for our rights!

On the economic misjudgement and historical inaccuracies of false racial ideology
1) Some Malays (not all) are also 'pendatang', as Parameswara was a Hindu Prince from the Majapahit empire which streched from India to Southeast Asia, and by definition of geography also an immigrant, compared to the orang asli groups (mainly Pahang) who have lived for milleniums on the land, and are far more 'marginalised' than any other groups in our country.
2) Are all Malays 'racially' pure? Based on the significant number of interracial marriages over history between Malays and Indians, Malays and Chinese who have upon marriage have converted their cultural and religious affiliations, there are therefore many 'mixed Malays'.
3) Historically, the Golden Age of the Malacca Sultanate (or Malay kingdom) is a product of its then 'global' status as a trade hub, where all kinds of goods were traded between Arabian, Chinese, Indian merchants. The economic wealth of the empire was hinged on its 'open' door trade policy that engage with the knowledge and ideas acorss the world, and it is through the process of these exchanges that Islam was brought to the formerly Hindu based empire.
4) Hence, from point (3), Malaysia's current economic wealth is generated by all races, Malays, Chinese and Indians. Without akcnowledging any of the contributions played variously in different sectors (even the humble cleaning lady or food seller) regardless of race, there won't be the prosperity enjoyed today.
5)Ecomomic disparity exist across all races. There are poor Chinese, as there are poor Malays and Indians. Economic gap also exist between area, from the better developed West Coast Peninsular to the less developed East Coast Peninsular (where I am from) and these wealth differences exist extra-racially, for example, a Malay and a Chinese in KL might have more similar social-economic concerns compared to a Malay or Chinese on the East Coast.
Better wealth distribution is needed to address this wealth disparity by need and by geography and not by race, as there are the rich who enjoy privileges that should have been given and accorded to the poor (Don't forget the good words of the Prophet to remember the weak and the poor, especially during this Holy month)
6)Transparency in awarding of projects is by far more productive economically, as many Bumiputera contractors lose out their contracts to 'better-linked' contractors without necessarily having the true credentials and value of work done being ascertained. Transparency encourages competition and through that better offerings, which form the hallmark of innovation and work of high standards. Economic losses through possible bribery, kickbacks are minimised, hence funds are put into good use and not wasted through mischanneling.
7) Racial subbordination is not only ethically reprehensible, but morally wrong by the principles of the world's major religions, Islam, Buddhism, Hinduism and Christianity. The denigration in the intrinsic worth of life assumes a usupartion of the divnine right to moral judgement. Who are you, o man, to demean others, for are you not also a formed/created being?
8) Racial ideology of exlusion is not economically viable or feasible in the global world where businesses of supply and demand are so intertwined that it is transnational and transboundary. To put it crudely, to exclude 'racially' would mean not making the million dollar profit one would make, because one does not want to deal or trade with a foreigner. The capitalistic markets only abide by one principle only, money, money and money (not race).
10) S'pore's LKY's statement was politically motivated, and anyone who falls into this trap of being pitted racially against fellow citizens is to blunt any economic advantage or threat one might have over S'pore.
I hope these things come out clearly to fellow Malaysians.
Lastly, no matter how hurt and angry most of us are by those foolish comments, let us not descend to grovel at his level and spread the very racial ideology he/she espouse by making sweeping generalisations about race, and rather address the particular issues and specific groups through the demographics of social and economic class.

How's things going, Kenny? Must have been good, I reckon, with the absence from the blogosphere.
Whatever it is, you guys might want to take politics somewhere else. Write to a paper if there are any dissatisfactions about the nation. I don't even understand why would people bother reading BS when we all have different opinions on such a sensitive issue. A piece of advice - Don't comment if you've got nothing to comment about (yes, I find this familiar too). The resemblance is 'unKenny' (pun intended).

Secondly, I guess this has been asked before, but what does this whole political/race/whatever issue has even remotely do with this post???
Am I missing something here?
This whole issue is just some dude wanting to get some attention, and he got it, and he's getting a swollen ego coz more people are just lapping this thing up...
From Windows XP wallpaper lookalike to politics...
Wow...God knows how we got from one point to another completely unrelated point...
But for goodness sake, read the comments posted by most of them and agree with them and drop the whole political/racial thing... It's gettin old...

Hey Kenny, since you're in Kiwiland, do take some time to research on the history of this country. Focus on the Treaty of Waitangi & the Tangata Whenua (people of the land aka 'sons of the soil'), then enlighten Mr. MFTM & the likes of him/her on how fortunate they are. I'm very sure bumis will very well ended up like the tangata whenua if without the support of 'immigrants'.
Don't mean to bring this in your blog, but as an ex-immigrant from bumiland & now enjoying my full citizenship as a kiwi, I jus' can't help voicing my disgust on MFTM's comments.

Why do you have to provoke a war?
Do you want history to repeat itself?
Please don't be selfish.
The war has ended years ago.
You wouldn't want to experience what our ancestors went tru, would you?
Of course I am unhappy too of how we chinese are labelled...2nd class.
But what I am proud of is that we don't need to be spoon fed or given the 'special privilege' to survive in this country.

Guys and Gals, cool down, you have all been had...
The post by the chap above is actually plagerised verbatim from a letter to the editor in Malaysiakini on-line newspaper.
It is actually a tongue in cheek satirical essay, making fun of the NEP.
So I am not sure what the intentions of posting it here is, but the poster either is pulling a tasteless fast one, of his command of English is so poor, he could not see the satire.
So let it past, it's either a stupid joke, or a simpleton too stupid to write his own essay, had to plagerise from Malaysiakini, and the wrong letter to boot.

my dear malaysians.....
in our daily lives, we refer ourselves as malays, chinese, indians, etc.
but in reality, we are all malaysians.
pls think about this, ppl around the world i mean from other countries will always acknowledge themselves as the citizens of that country.
for example, malays from singapore call themselves as singaporeans. chinese from us call themselves as "AMERICAN" born chinese. so y can't chinese/malays/indians in our country call ourselves malaysians instead of our respective races?
ppl this is the time v hav to unite as a nation?
as malaysian, regardless ur race.
ther is no need to fight bcoz ther is ntg to fight over.
ppl from our country whether chinese or malays or indians r all malaysians, aren't v?
v malaysians work in malaysia, earn from malaysia, some earn more but some earn lesser. but still it depends on your capability rite. kenny is a chinese but kenny is doing quite fine rite?
btw, let's not compare bout the rich.
how about the poor?
do u think that ther r no malays who r poor? then r they marginalised? or can u say tat only chinese r being marginalised? wat about the third main race in our country? indians?
v can't deny tat malays in our country hav certain rights. but, tat's bcoz of the constituition v hav based on the agreement of all races when malaysia is formed in 1963. i noe some of u think it's not fair, but life is never fair. btw, ntg is definite oso, who is certain to say tat it will stay this way in the future?
so, malaysians. let's not b affected by some critics from other countries whose intention v yet to noe. v r civilised ppl, if u r not happy v discussed bout it n find a better solution. of coz in a peaceful way.
who's in favour of a fight? definitely not us, wise malaysians

i usually have no probs with malays but fuckin hell if u have a grudge with chinese dun read this blog. this is no fckin malay blog.
yeah and i just hate those malays saying the chinese are the reason why a lot of malay are unfortunate. long time ago chinese ppl immigrate from china. they work hard while the malays sit on their asses and now a lot (chinese) are rich. we are not corrupt nor do we steal or bribe or watever and i would thnk with all the corruption in the government favouring the malays they'll at least get somewhere.

That was funny. I guess the reason that everyone is reacting so immensely to that racist post was because they dont see the meaning behind it.
I myself was misled to think it was written by a malay, by words in capitals on the very first line of the post. I read back and saw the sarcasm, just to feed my curiosity. But I really wouldnt have guessed that it was actually an insult the the policies rather than some retarded malay's writing since it isnt all that unusual to have malays thinking in that way.

fact: ANYONE can take a good picture in NZ. The sky is THAT blue most of the time. All you've gotta do is find the perfect spot. And that's just about everywhere.

FYI, MFTM, you Malays are not original bumiputera. In fact, you people migrated from Indonesia. So, that makes you immigrants too. Seems like Chinese people doing better than you eh. You're still lagging behind in terms of education, morals and job opportunities. I read an article on the reasons of why Malaysian graduates are jobless nowadays. Reason being dunno how to speak English and lazy attitude while working. I don't need to say what the racial breakdown is lar, hoh? Every smart Chinese here will know wan lar. Na si zheng hu boh chi lu lang hua na tu, lu lang chiak sai ar.

LISTEN TO ME!
I'm a Chinese studying in Japan. I have this Malay senior who stays with us in the school hostel. He would sometimes churn out some delicious Malay food for us while I teach him how to cook Chinese Style dishes. Most of the time, we are just exchanging ideas on how to improve on our studies/cooking. We go out bowling once a while after exams and laughs at each other when we 'wash the drain'. No we ain't gay! We are M'sians who enjoys each others company and friendship. I'm happy to be a Malaysian.

You'd think that with all this education we'd actually learn to think rationally and not talk like ignorant arseholes?
I'm Malay, I have lots of chinese friends. Of couse we may have our faults but we ourselves have to understand other races. It's give and take.
Because of some bad apples, everyone get the blame. Now that's just plain unfair. Is it too hard to just respect others and have others respect you?

i wish the politicians and leaders would get to see this, if nothing else, to make them aware of the simmering resentment our pro-segregation system has instilled in many.
(again, not a comment related to Kenny's original post. sorry)

i bet this MFTM just seat back and laughing his ass off while reading all these comments from you guys. All he did was just copy and paste some unrelated news and paste it here and wait it to burst out... bet he has popcorn by his side too.
I love this blog and please make sure if you want to post sumthin',it has got to do with the respectative entry Kenny has made.

oi mo'fo MFTH, you want to cause race riot is it? stupid? don't simply put racial remarks here wanker! if riot happens, no one benefits from it. you might die from it also. just think before you speak okay dickhead? like the guy said, you are the stupid ignorant quintessential malay(i don't mean all malays) who caused more problem than solving it.
Posted by: mtf at 01 October 2006 8:36 PM | Link to comment
Referring to the controversial post above.
I can't help but comment on that...
True, Malays have already been given bumiputra status, but they have already been given A LOT OF priority. What else do you want? Call it unfair? GO DIE.
Okay, so you're saying the Malays aren't getting most of what is theirs? Well, most of them aren't working at ALL! Most of the Chinese have worked their way up to where they are now. To hell with your 'balance in wealth distribution', if these 'immagrants', have earned it, why the heck should others rake in the benefits? If you restrict the economic interests of the Chinese, what do you think will happen? It won't change the mentality of some of the lazy bumiputras we see slacking around. Shit, the Chinese are helping to hold this bloody country up. Why do you think Malays aren't getting what they 'deserve'? Why should they have big cars and big houses, if most of those you speak of aren't even doing ANYTHING, and still expect to be spoon fed? They have been pampered enough, let achieve something with their own effort.
Corruption? Of course. You can't say that corruption doesn't take place within the Malay community. That's stupid. Are Malays any different?
How dare you say this is a multi-racial society after that post. How can there be harmony if the Chinese are stripped from their rights? There goes your dream for a properous future. If Malays are given more slack than they have already been given, this country will not even move forward. Not with what we see of them now.
(I have to say sorry if I seem racist. I have Malay friends too, and some of them are not like that...)

TO MFTM:
Some facts for you if you've forgotten:
1) Chinese: Second largest community in Malaysia
2) Malay: Not the "sons of soil", but the Orang Asli are
3) History in Malaysia: Chinese~ business; Malay~ agriculture; Indian~ farm workers
4) Racism: taboo in Malaysia, unless if you want another 513 case
5) Talents: Would rather stay in other countries than going back and work in Malaysia
6) Incentives: are given to Malays/bumiputras far more than to Chinese and Indians because of the so-called 'quota system'
7) A support to Dom's viewpoint: Chinese work hard for their wealth and future, what about Malays?
8) Majority Chinese are middle class people: they are not wealthy nor they were gifted the good life. They spend their HARD-EARNED CASH.
9) MCA is a representative for Chinese community: they are doing what they should do to protect its people's rights and not crossing the lines.
10) Conclusion: MFTM is an IDIOT who asks for a riot in his/her own country. He/she is too bored staying in a peaceful and comfortable zone, and is seeking for an environment like Iraq to live in (oh he just loves that so much!). As such, I would pleasantly ask for a favor from the Defence Minister to send this person to serve in war countries. Perhaps that's the only way to make him/her realise how fortunate Malays in Malaysia are.
Oh, and for your information, we Chinese are sick of the stupid perverted Malays when we walk on the streets, asking us "Ah Moi, mau pigi mana? Mau minum kopi tak?". And stop blaming and accussing us for wearing skimpy clothes, coz when we wear proper t-shits and long pants, you perverted Malays still keep on staring on our bodies - from TOP to TOE and then FOCUS ON BOOBS AND BUMPS. Did your mom teach you that? Go back and stare at your mom if she did!!! Also, if you Malays are too free and have nothing to do but dunno where to get money, can you please get a job and stop yelling over the internet trying to cause some kind of riot? And please don't go snatch people's wallets on the streets and rape innocent girls and start to blame us Chinese when you're in jail. PAKA!!!!
*MAKE USE OF YOUR BRAIN IN SOMEWHERE MEANINGFUL!!! ......but.....err....do you even have one???*

you blame us for coming here. but you know who made us migrate here? YOU! even mahathir also said it himself. the british import the indians from india so they can do the rubber tapping here. yap ah loi brought the chinese from the mainland here. you know why? because you are AFRAID OF CHANCE. you'd rather stay with your usual daily duties like tanam jagung and tangkap ikan and when the opportunities come(eg. bijih timah (stanum) ) did you go grab the chance? no! you'd rather let the british people to korek your mining site until kering. then the chinese came and dig more. so what caused chinese and indians to migrate here? YOU! because of your ignorance, because the "OLD" you are afraid of change, when chances come, you dont take it, instead you gave it to the other people. and now youre complaining why we're here! SERVES YOU RIGHT!
note:
"you" represents the less bright malay people like Malaysia for malays who are ignorant(doesn't apply to other brighter Malays in malaysia)
does this post make me racist? i don't think so. because i only refered to a certain percentage of the malay community who are still in their old self thus my comment does not reflect the whole malay community. Dr M. said the Jews run the world by making people fight and die for them. does that make him racist? nope. cause he only referred to the Jews who supported the war against Muslim.
